Kingdom Siddur ("we", "the app"), operated by Nikania Corp, is a Jewish prayer and spiritual-growth app. We respect your privacy and collect the minimum needed to run the app. We never sell your data.
Data We Collect
- Account identifier — When you first open the app you are signed in anonymously with a randomly generated ID. This is not linked to your name or Apple ID.
- Email address (optional) — If you choose to save your account for recovery, we store your email so you can restore your handle, friends, and streak on a new device. Email is never required to use the app.
- Profile & settings — Your chosen display name, handle, denomination, nusach, experience level, gender, and city. Gender is used to provide halachically appropriate content and to keep the Chevra social features single-gender.
- Practice & social data — Your check-ins (tefillin/tehillim), streaks, friendships, group memberships, and templated nudges, so the Chevra features work.
- AI chat questions — When you use the Ask feature, your questions are sent to our server to generate responses, associated with your account ID only.
- Usage analytics — Anonymous data about which features are used and session activity, to improve the app.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Your precise location (city is set manually by you)
- Payment or credit card information (handled entirely by Apple)
- Your contacts, photos, or other device data
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and we do not show ads
User-to-User Features
Chevra lets you connect with friends by handle. Other users can see your display name, handle, current streak, and check-in activity. They cannot see your email, city, or settings. Chevra is single-gender by design. You can block or report any user from within the app, and templated nudges (no free text) keep interactions safe.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide personalized prayer times, calendar, and content based on your settings
- To run the Chevra accountability features you opt into
- To generate AI-powered responses to your questions
- To restore your account if you change devices (when you've added an email)
- To improve the app through anonymous analytics
Data Storage & Security
Your settings are stored locally on your device. Account, social, analytics, and AI data are stored on Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption.
Third-Party Services
- Anthropic (Claude) — Processes AI chat questions
- Supabase — Secure cloud database and authentication
- Sefaria — Open-source Jewish text library
- RevenueCat — Subscription management for premium features (when available)
Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
Children's Privacy
Kingdom Siddur is intended for a general audience and contains no objectionable content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The social (Chevra) features involve user-to-user connection; we encourage parents of minors to review their child's use.
Deleting Your Account & Data
You can permanently delete your account at any time: open the app → Profile → "Delete my account." This removes your profile, handle, check-ins, friendships, group memberships, and unlinks your email — completely and irreversibly. You may also email us to request deletion.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
